Professor David Mayston
Professor David Mayston is Professor of Public Sector Economics, Finance and Accountancy, and Director of the Centre for Performance Evaluation and Resource Management at the University of York. He has an MA and PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and an MSc (with distinction) in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. His research interests are in the fields of capital resource management , human capital investment and effectiveness evaluation, particularly in education.
Dr Alet Roux
Dr Alet Roux is the Course Director of the MSc in Mathematical Finance. He is interested in Mathematical Finance, in particular in option pricing in models with transaction costs and other types of friction.
Professor John Robinson
John Robinson is Head of Department and Professor in the Department of Electronics where he conducts research in pattern recognition and image processing, particularly in face analysis and projector-camera systems.
Professor Andrew Pendleton
Andrew Pendleton is Professor of Human Resource Management in the York Management School. His main areas of research are employee reward systems and the effects of ownership and human resource management and employment relations.
Dr. Oliver Craig
Dr. Oliver Craig specialises in biomolecular archaeology, i.e. the recovery of proteins, lipids and DNA from ancient skeletal remains and archaeological artefacts to provide insights into past human activities. Oliver teaches Archaeological Science and an MSc in Bioarchaeology
Dr Tim Kelly
Dr Kelly is a Senior Lecturer within the Department of Computer Science at the University of York. His research interests include safety case management, software safety analysis and justification, and the dependability of “Systems of Systems”.
Professor Judith Bennett
Professor Judith Bennett is Head of the Department of Educational Studies. Her research interests lie in the areas of young people’s attitudes to science and in evaluation of the impact of curriculum interventions in science teaching.
Professor Paul Walton
Paul Walton is Professor of Bioinorganic Chemistry and head of department at the University of York. His research interests include synthetic models of zinc metalloenzymes, metal sensors and metal complex catalysts for carbon dioxide conversion. He also has strong interests in teaching, having won the Royal Society of Chemistry''s Higher Education Award in 2000.
Professor Yongbing Xu
Professor Yongbing Xu, Chair in Nanotechnogy, heads the Spintronics and Nanodevice Laboratory in York’s Department of Electronics. His research interests are in the areas of spintronics, nanodevices, nanofabrication and magnetic nanomaterials.
Professor Dale Sanders
Dale Sanders heads the Biology Department at York where he conducts research on molecular mechanisms of membrane transport in plants. He obtained his bachelor''s degree from the University of York, his PhD from Cambridge University and worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Yale University School of Medicine for five years. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2001.
